Effective Immediately: Texas HHSC adopts new COVID-19 vaccination data reporting rules
Effective Jan. 11, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) adopted new COVID-19 vaccination data reporting emergency rules. The rules require nursing facilities and assisted living facilities to accurately report COVID-19 vaccination data for staff and residents to HHSC in the format established by HHSC within 24 hours of completing a round of vaccinations. The data will allow HHSC to accurately track vaccinations of staff and residents in long-term care facilities in Texas.

Texas Long-Term Care Staff, Residents Participating in Federal Program to Receive COVID Vaccine in December
The State of Texas will participate in the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program, a federal program to vaccinate residents and staff of long-term care facilities against COVID-19. The first vaccines included in this program will be provided to pharmacies the week of Dec. 21, 2020, and the program will begin Dec. 28, 2020.
