Pressure Injuries - Assessment and Identification Based on Skin Tone
Although much research has been completed to address the cause, identification and treatment of pressure injuries, little research can be found to address the race or ethnicity effect on early identification and treatment of injuries in people of color. People of color are of particular risk to develop a more severe injury unless action is taken to identify the injury earlier. In this video we will discuss the assessment and identification of pressure injuries based on an individual’s skin tone.
