2020 MIPS Workshops

The four Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) categories were never intended to be worked on in silos. They are related to one another. Improvement or activity in one category may result in a positive impact on one or more of the others. This video provides an overview of the MIPS Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary-Clinicians (MSPB-C) Cost measure, which focuses on the clinician population. The MSPB measure is also used for various other health care settings as a means to measure cost.

The Total Per-Capita Cost measure assesses the primary care clinician’s overall care for a Medicare patient during a calendar year. TMF consultants review the TPCC measure and its various characteristics during this video.
