Naloxone is now more accessible to prevent overdoses from opioids like Fentanyl
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved an over-the-counter naloxone nasal spray. Called Narcan, the medicine that can reverse an opioid-related overdose can now be purchased in drug, convenience and grocery stores, as well as at gas stations and online.

Association between concurrent use of prescription opioids and benzodiazepines and overdose: retrospective analysis
Results of this study concluded that for opioid users who did not use benzodiazepines, concurrent use of both drugs was associated with an increased risk of an emergency room visit or inpatient admission for opioid overdose among all opioid users.
